Focal Points

  • Effective Collaboration
  • Performance Management
  • Upskilling
  • Conflict Management
  • Developing Team Leaders/Members
  • Relationship Intelligence
  • Leadership Intelligence
  • Much more….

The program is not designed on theory but real and critically necessary topics for those working in these leadership spaces. The program has a hands-on, experiential structure to explore real- life coaching situations.

Corporations and government agencies operate in competitive and global environments. Old strategies are not effective and require current CEO's, executives, leaders, team leaders, and managers to be true leaders of change and be prepared for the challenges in these organizations.

While Executives have experience, success, and drive, they ARE NOT generally as knowledgeable or effective as change makers.

This is precisely why modern organizations train and build an internal coaching culture or hire experienced effective Executive coaches. Change for human beings is complex.

The professional executive coach is able to:
  • Enhance strategic thinking
  • Develop improved interpersonal communication skills
  • Bring confidence in conflict resolution
  • Work with staff on career development/transition
  • Learn effective team building
  • Design and integrate performance management
  • Among many other required subskills.

Knowledge frequently Does Not translate to change. Many people know what to do but still are unable to adapt or change. Professional coaches understand behaviour and the inner game needed for real change.

Executive coaches are skilled and confident in working with senior C-Suite executives to help them clarify and meet goals in addition to building reality strategies with their personal lives.

They are also often trusted confidants when needing a confidential space to explore personal conflicts or an independent appraisal. Our behavior and understanding is created from our experience and “meaning-making”. We often need differing points of view where as we cannot see other options.

More and more progressive organizations are either training internal staff to take on these roles or hiring Executive coaches from the marketplace.

While most people have some basic coaching skills the path to being a top-tier peak performance coach starts by enrolling in a top ICF-accredited coach training program. The Coach Training Academy offers different options but the most effective way to guarantee you have the strongest skills and confidence is to enrol in our core 24-week Coaching Success Program plus the ICF Professional Mentor Program. These can be taken concurrently.Graduates then enrol in the ICF-accredited professional Executive program.

An important benefit in addition to becoming a superior coach is that you will earn enough training hours to qualify for an ACC or PCC credential with the International Coach Federation(ICF). An ICF-accredited school is considered the gold standard for coach training plus an ICF-certified coach is recognized as having achieved the highest certification available in the world.

Many organizations now will not consider hiring any coaches who have not obtained ICFcertification.

What Makes An ICF Certification Special?

The process to becoming a professional ICF certification coach is fairly rigorous and requires the completion of five components:

Mentor Coaching
Performance Evaluation
Knowledge Assessment Exam

While this might seem onerous, The Coach Training Academy path is flexible and affordable.

You must start by completing a core coach-specific ICF-accredited program such as one offered by The Coach Training Academy.

This is variable depending on the ICF certification level you want to achieve

Professional ICF Mentor Coaching

This mentoring introduces advanced skills and strategies that elevate the coach students to peak levels allowing them to provide the highest value to their clients.

Performance Evaluation

Depending on the ICF certification level applicants submit a live recorded coaching session demonstrating good use of the ICF core competencies.

Knowledge Assessment Exam

The final step is to complete either an online or in-person exam to indicate a thorough knowledge of the ICF core competencies and code of ethics.

How much do ICF certified executive coaches earn?

Generally, high-level professional coaches earn much more than the traditional life coach, wellness coach, health coach etc…. Fees for a startup executive coach is $250 per hour which can quickly increase to $500 depending on who you are offering coaching services to. While not common, some coaches will reach the one million dollar level in billable hours.

Executive coaches are generally hired in three-month to one-year contracts. However, this can vary widely with some on retainer and some brought into organizations as employees.More and more organizations seeing the value of coaching are now adding full-time coaching departments to support their goals.

What is the investment to become an ICF Certified Coach?
